MSort OPT - Efficient optical sorting

The MSort OPT sorts all bulk materials that can be clearly classified by colour and/or geometry. Even difficult products of the most diverse compositions can be sorted efficiently. The slightest color differences are reliably detected and are available as sorting parameters. The sorting machine is suitable for processing glass, minerals, metals and plastics.

Functionality

Colour line cameras are used to scan the incoming bulk material. Sorting software analyzes the data obtained by the camera based on assigned parameters for colour, transparency, shape and/or size, and classified to keep or reject scanned material. Targeted compressed air pulses through up to 600 compressed air valves in the MSort OPT eject the parts to be separated from the material flow.

Benefits

- High Performance: Extremely high throughput up to 600 t/h per machine. Sorting is possible from 1mm grain size

- Highest sorting accuracy: Sorting is possible from 1mm grain size

- Robust Design: Compact and hardened for industrial applications, designed for 24/7 control operation

- Minimal Process Costs: Low compressed air volume and power requirements make the MSort OPT among the lowest operating cost sorters available

- Maximum Plant Availability: Years of experience, proven quality, proven stable performance with the lowest maintenance requirements and a continuing commitment to development ensures years of high-quality sorting

- Maximum Flexibility: Direct integration into customer process control systems means no additional controls needed

MSort NIR- Highest Sorting Quality at Maximum Throughput

Using reliable HSI (High Spectral Imaging) near-infrared technology, the MSort NIR sorting machine effectively separates bulk materials with the same optical appearance but different chemical compositions in fractions of a second. The MSort NIR is the solution when optical sorting is no longer feasible. It is particularly suitable for plastics, glass and minerals.

Functionality

Molecules vibrated by electromagnetic radiation in the near-infrared (NIR) range of 900-1700 nm are uniquely identified by an HSI near-infrared spectroscopy. Bulk material passes the NIR camera in free fall, which detects and clearly identifies up to 10,000 objects per second. Special software evaluates the captured image information and decides in milliseconds whether the detected object should be sorted out or retained. The pieces are blown out by compressed air pulses and classified as out or in through a special nozzle bar in combination with high-speed valves. Using the highest industry standards, sorting efficiency can be up to 99% in one sorting step.

Benefits

- High Performance: Highest throughput per working width currently available on the market. Complex HSI evaluation in the millisecond range.

- Robust Design: Compact and industrially applicable version for 24/7 operation

- Minimal Process Costs: Low compressed air consumption leads to lowest operating costs

- Maximum Plant Availability: Proven Mogensen quality with a commitment to continuous development ensures stable performance with the lowest maintenance requirements

- Maximum Flexibility: Direct integration into customer process control systems means no additional controls needed

MSort X-Ray - Sorting by X-Ray transmission according to atomic density

MSort X-Ray technology enables the classification of materials based on their atomic density, allowing the smallest inclusions in the material as well as the material composition of an object to be clearly determined and used for sorting. Location of the specific material within the target object does not matter - on the surface or enclosed in the overall material. The MSort X-Ray can be used in the glass recycling sector where lead glass and refractory glass ceramics are detected and discharged.

Functionality

In the MSort X-Ray customized parameters are set specific to your requirements and objects are irradiated by an X-ray source. A two-channel sensor system records the radiation difference behind an object and evaluates whether this object is considered a good or bad based on difference in atomic density. The evaluation is not influenced by particle size, particle shape, unit weight, surface color or impurities.

Benefits

- High Performance: Highest throughput per working width currently available on the market plus complex XRT evaluation in the millisecond range
