Dust causes nothing but problems for many recycling and general work sites. Not only is dust unsightly and potentially hazardous, but it can also lead to equipment failure, increased downtime, and decreased productivity. With a simple application of the POLLUTEX Dust Suppression System, you can get dust under control and have an all-around safer and more effective work site and improved environmental and working conditions.
POLLUTEX – Dust Suppression Specialists
POLLUTEX DUST SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
The Pollutex System has been designed to effectively control dust at the source, providing a safe and clean environment for workers and nearby communities. The system uses a unique formulation of Pallax Foam, a biodegradable dust binding agent that is made in Germany.
Unlike other dust suppression systems that rely on high-pressure misting or atomisation, the Pollutex System uses a gentle and efficient foam application process. This foam is highly effective at suppressing dust and floating particles.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
The Pollutex System has been designed to effectively control dust at the source, providing a safe and clean environment for workers and nearby communities. The system uses a unique formulation of Pallax Foam, a biodegradable dust binding agent that is made in Germany.
Unlike other dust suppression systems that rely on high-pressure misting or atomisation, the Pollutex System uses a gentle and efficient foam application process. This foam is highly effective at suppressing dust and floating particles on a wide range of materials.

COMPONENTS & OPERATION
The Pollutex System is comprised of several components, including a dosing pump, a foam generator, and foam nozzles. When the foam is applied to the material, it immediately binds to the dust particles and creates a coating, preventing the dust from becoming airborne.
Pollutex Dust Suppression Systems use Pallax, a liquid dust binding agent in the form of a concentrate that is prepared as foam which is able to bind dust and suspended particles so effectively and consistently that they no longer appear as dust. This is achieved by adding the foam to the dust medium, which binds all dust particles with which it comes into contact in such a way that dust formation is prevented.
The dust binding agent is mixed with air and water in the correct ratio to achieve
a suitable foam consistency.
To produce the solution, an average of 99 litres of water is mixed with one litre of Pallax foam.
Adding air under variable pressure conditions creates an increase in volume with a long shelf life.
Twelve hundred litres of foam are obtained from 100 litres of solution.
This mixed-in foam has a significantly higher dust-binding capacity
than water and is also effective for a longer period of time. When foam is not suitable, the
agent can also be prepared as a liquid alternative.
The most common method for suppressing dust formation is the spraying of
water on the dust-forming material. A disadvantage is that this can lead to moisture
problems, which is not the case when using the Pollutex System. In addition, with the
conventional method, the water usually evaporates quickly. The foam is effective for 1-2
weeks after application, which means that the material can not only be processed dust-free
during the shredding process, but can also be sorted and transported dust-free.
Dust does not appear and thus remains in the material flow. So there is no additional -
possibly contaminated - waste product that has to be disposed of separately,
which is the case with suction.
