POLLUTEX – Dust Suppression Specialists
Dust causes nothing but problems for many recycling and general work sites. Not only is dust unsightly and potentially hazardous, but it can also lead to equipment failure, increased downtime, and decreased productivity. With a simple application of the POLLUTEX Dust Suppression System, you can get dust under control and have an all-around safer and more effective work site and improved environmental and working conditions.
POLLUTEX DUST SUPRESSION SYSTEM
The Pollutex System has been designed to effectively control dust at the source, providing a safe and clean environment for workers and nearby communities. The system uses a unique formulation of Pallax Foam, a biodegradable dust binding agent that is made in Germany.
Unlike other dust suppression systems that rely on high-pressure misting or atomisation, the Pollutex System uses a gentle and efficient foam application process. This foam is highly effective at suppressing dust and floating particles. The system is also versatile, making it suitable for a range of materials and applications, including recycling plants, mining sites, and construction sites
The Pollutex System is comprised of several components, including a dosing pump, a foam generator, and foam nozzles. When the foam is applied to the material, it immediately binds to the dust particles and creates a coating, preventing the dust from becoming airborne.
Pollutex Dust Suppression Systems use Pallax, a liquid dust binding agent in the form of a concentrate that is prepared as foam or liquid form which is able to bind dust and suspended particles so effectively and consistently that they no longer appear as dust. This is achieved by adding the foam to the dust medium, which binds all dust particles with which it comes into contact in such a way that dust formation is prevented.
The dust binding agent is mixed with air and water in the correct ratio to achieve
a suitable foam consistency. This mixed-in foam has a significantly higher dust-binding capacity
than water and is also effective for a longer period of time. When foam is not suitable, the
agent can also be prepared as a liquid alternative.
The most common method for suppressing dust formation is the spraying of
water on the dust-forming material. A disadvantage is that this can lead to moisture
problems, which is not the case when using the Pollutex System. In addition, with the
conventional method, the water usually evaporates quickly. The foam is effective for 1-2
weeks after application, which means that the material can not only be processed dust-free
during the shredding process, but can also be sorted and transported dust-free.
Dust does not appear and thus remains in the material flow. So there is no additional -
possibly contaminated - waste product that has to be disposed of separately,
which is the case with suction.
The Pollutex Dust Suppression System agent is completely biodegradable, which makes
it attractive for many areas of application such as
Natural stone processing and quarrying
Metal scrap recycling
Glass recycling and crushing
Paper recycling etc
BENEFITS OF PALLAX FOAM
Environmental and working conditions
When designing environmental and working conditions, dust is always undesirable. Due to the complete biodegradability of Pallax Foam, there are no problems with the further use of the treated materials or the impairment of working conditions. In addition, you will find that the use of Pallax Foam makes work much easier and creates a healthier workplace. The monitoring emission protection authority will also take note of the change that has occurred with satisfaction.
Increased productivity and cost savings
Another and important advantage of using Pallax Foam is the reduction in downtime and wear and tear on your equipment and systems, as they are no longer affected by the dust suppression. Overall, you will spend less time maintaining and repairing your equipment and systems. The staff find better working conditions, which also leads to an increase in productivity.
The advantages over other dust control systems
The most common method of suppressing dust formation is to spray water onto the dust-forming material. A disadvantage is that this can lead to moisture problems, which is not the case when using Pallax Foam. In addition, with the conventional method, the water usually evaporates quickly, so that the dust problem is back at the beginning. The foam, on the other hand, is effective for 1-2 weeks, which means that the material can not only be processed dust-free during the shredding process, but can also be sorted and transported dust-free.
The inhalable dust does not appear and thus remains in the material flow. There is therefore no additional - possibly contaminated - waste product that has to be disposed of separately, which is already the case with suction.
