Metal Separation

Wagner Magnete

The German company Wagner Magnete is a reputable manufacturer of magnet technologies and is a real pillar of the metal separation industry. Since the company’s foundation in 1935, Wagner Magnete stands for quality, safety, and reliability in manufacturing metal-separating machines.

With over 85 years of industry experience, Wagner Magnete has a broad assortment of machines that efficiently sort recyclables. Some of their early products in the field of iron separation from bulk goods like the first magnetic belt separator in 1953 are still important components of today’s recycling methods.
CEMAC technologies has supplied numerous Wagner Magnete’s machines to Australia and holds spare parts in their warehouse.

NON-FERROUS SEPERATORS

Wagner Magnete was one of the first to introduce the Non-Ferrous Separator in 1985. With focus on reliability, efficiency, and maintenance friendliness, Wagner Magnete’s Non-ferrous separators recover valuable high-grade non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper.
The system is based on the induction principle: Quickly rotating high-performing magnet poles induce eddy currents in non-ferrous metals, and thus generate repelling forces. In the end, these items are thrown out of the material flow.

Featuring eccentric and fully adjustable rotor designs, combined with several magnet options on the rotor, Wagner Magnete’s Non-ferrous Separators can cater for all size ranges and throughputs. Even the highest throughputs are no problem with up to 3m operating width.

HIGH FREQUENCY NON-FERROUS EDDY CURRENT SEPARATOR

The High Frequency Non-Ferrous Eddy Current Separator is characterised by a precise high-frequency rotor which runs at an impressive 7,000 rpm.

The heart of this separator is the innovative precision rotor system which allows for very high separation efficiency and an excellent product purity - especially for fines.

Because of the concentric rotor’s high speed, the number of magnetic poles can be kept low which allows for a maximum depth effect. The depth effect, the volume expansion of the magnetic field, and the repeatability of the eddy current separator process are considerably improved in comparison to eccentric rotors.

ELECTOMAGNETIC BELT SEPARATOR

Overbelt magnets are perfect for separating bulky ferrous parts from a continuous material flow and are typically arranged longitudinally at the end of the conveyor belt.

Wagner Magnete’s Electromagnetic Belt Separator convinces with optimised performance. Due to low power consumption, the magnet coil is prevented from heating and thus maintains a strong magnetic effect. Additionally, Wagner Magnete’s robust coils are manufactured with a very high number of windings because of new wire and insulation materials and clever winding techniques.
Therefore, the Electromagnetic Belt Separator performs better than competitor models which ultimately have a higher decrease in flux density due to increased heating.

The large diameter of the magnet also reduces the required work, which in turn reduces wear on the discharge belt. A torque support especially developed by Wagner Magnete fastens the motor and allows for convenient changes in position.
The discharge belt is available in various dimensions and different driving motor possibilities and accessories can be chosen.

PERMANENT MAGNETIC BELT SEPARATOR

Wagner Magnete’s overbelt magnets are designed as two-pole systems to attract compact ferrous items with a stronger force.
The Permanent Magnetic Belt Separator has a non-magnetic frame construction which prevents ferrous items from sticking to the magnets. The inside of the conveyor belt area is then protected against foreign objects because the sealed magnet body is shielded over a large area and empty cavities are closed on all sides. This reduces wear and minimises cleaning which makes the system perfect in the long run.

STAINLESS STEEL SEPARATOR

The Stainless Steel Separator is perfect to separate residual ferrous parts from bulk - and transporting goods in the processing and recycling industries.
Previously, many stainless steels with only weak magnetism were inseparable. Now, with the massive 11,000 Gauss magnetic force, the Stainless Steel Separator makes it possible to hold these steels and separate them.
The key advantages are a high recovery rate, improved shredder protection, and very high separation efficiency. Additionally, the magnetic separator can be retrofitted easily within existing installations as a standalone unit.
