FLEX PSM
Worn by machinery operator or site personnel. Can be configured single or both hand protection. Link to employees. Rechargeable.
FLEX CONTROL
FLEX Control is the unit where everything integrates. It analyses signals based on local requirements, antenna count, and functionality, and shuts down the machine in an emergency.​
FLEX ANTENNA & FLEX MONITOR
Up to four antennas can be connected. They can be assigned different functions, such as hazard zone or presence zone. Each antenna module is monitored by a dedicated monitor.​
FLEX CHECK
The employee check his/her personal FLEX PSM daily before the start of the shift. This test checks the status of the battery and its functionality.
How it works
If an employee with his or her personal protection module (PSM) enters the danger zone, the control unit initiates the automatic switch-off of the machine. The trigger zone on the conveyor is defined by the intersection of the fields of both antennas.

The difference to many other security systems: The antenna module recognises a person in the danger zone even if he or she is buried and switches off the machine. Furthermore, the system continuously monitors impulses from the FLEX Monitor and can recognise defects before they become a safety issue.
How it works

Conveyor Belt Application Example
HAZARDOUS AREA
In recycling facilities, conveyor belts transport material into baling presses and shredders. Underfloor conveyor belts are often used, which are filled by vehicles.

SHUTDOWN RANGE
When your employee with the wrist mounted FLEX PSM reaches this area, the machine’s emergency stop is triggered.​​

U-TECH FLEX SAFEGUARDS It protects your employees who fall into the conveyor belt that feeds into the press chute or shredder.
Certifications
The system has been tested by TÜV Süd according to IEC 62368-1.

The result of several months of testing by the IFA Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and TÜV SÜD: U-TECH FLEX works reliably and precisely even in these extremely demanding conditions.
