Recycling post-consumer plastics brings inherent variability. Developed for EREMA laser filters, DischargePro automatically adapts filtration performance to changing material conditions throughout the entire operating cycle. Crucially, it is not only available on new installations, DischargePro can also be integrated as an upgrade to existing EREMA laser filter systems, allowing processors to significantly enhance performance without replacing proven equipment.



Intelligent Control That Responds in Real Time

DischargePro increases automation by continuously monitoring the filtration process and independently determining the optimal operating setpoints. It automatically adjusts the speed of the scraper disc and discharge screw to ensure the melt thickens uniformly during filtration, a key factor for achieving consistent output quality and cost-effective operation.


Fully automatic re-initialisation, triggered by time or process events, ensures that these parameters are maintained even as material conditions change. The result is a more stable process, reduced reliance on manual intervention, and greater confidence in day-to-day operation.


Up to 50% Less Melt Loss

One of the most significant benefits of DischargePro is its ability to substantially reduce melt loss by up to 50 percent, depending on the application and contamination level.

The system automatically reacts to:

  • Contamination peaks, temporarily adjusting scraper speed and returning to the optimal setpoint once the peak has passed

  • Reduced throughput, ensuring consistent thickening despite changes in material flow

  • Increased viscosity, compensating for higher pressure across the filter screen to maintain a steady discharge rate

DischargePro also accounts for gradual, long-term changes, such as the reduced effective surface area of a filter screen over its service life. By continuously adapting setpoints, the system ensures the optimum thickening ratio is maintained from start-up to screen change.


Designed for Operators and Existing Plants

From an operational perspective, DischargePro is highly user-friendly. Operators are no longer required to manually readjust filtration parameters, reducing workload, personnel time, and the risk of error.


For processors already running EREMA laser filters, the ability to retrofit DischargePro as an upgrade is a major advantage. It allows plants to:
